Valentine's Day Tones
Happy Valentine’s Day! The interiors in this home are very warm and feature the ‘It’ color of the moment . . . blush pink. Ironically, this project was completed over 15 years ago for a client in a Chicago suburb. It’s more traditional than what’s popular today, but all signs in the design world are pointing to traditional style making a huge return, or as Barclay has coined, “Traditional with a Twist.” Our furniture licensing partner, Lexington Home Brands, calls it the “New Traditional.”
Blush Looks
If we were to do this room today, the mix of blush and chocolate would most likely be replaced with gray tones. The floral wall covering would be a striking shimmery gray grass cloth. There would likely be less accessories. Today, most people prefer a clean, less ‘cluttered’ look. Blush is timeless. It is everywhere right now. It is having a moment in the spotlight because who doesn’t love a pink top with a great tan? We love a little blush in our life and think you will, too!
