Rancho Palos Verdes, California
With sweeping vistas of the golf course’s 6th hole and the Pacific Ocean, I drew my inspiration for the home’s design from the effortless nature of seaside living. Enriched with Mediterranean architecture, modern conveniences, and the natural beauty of the 102-acre coastal setting I kept to a palette of soft blues, crisp whites and lavish greys. The art and the accessories throughout the residence are a reflection of the oceanfront locale – the sculptural chunks of coral, the framed sea fans and metallic shells as well as abstract wall art that speaks to the colors of the sea. However, the most amazing feature of this home was that no matter what room you were in, you were only steps from the being outside. Whether it was through a set of French doors in the kitchen that lead you to the backyard or through an arched doorway in the bedroom that opens up to a private courtyard, every room has an access point to the beauty of the outdoors making it the coastal sanctuary that dreams are made of.
